MANILA, Philippines – Miss World 2013 Megan Young arrived in Manila Wednesday night, November 27, to personally deliver the funds she raised abroad for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).

Megan successfully led fund raising efforts in the United States, Hong Kong, and Indonesia, for her kababayans who were affected by the flood. All of the proceeds will be used for relief programs.

She will also take part in a humanitarian mission with the Philippine Red Cross. She will be visiting areas in Cebu, Samar, and Leyte that were ravaged by the typhoon.

Since winning the Miss World crown, Megan has been helping in various charity events to fulfill the pageant’s “beauty with a purpose” advocacy. (READ: Megan Young to host fund raises in NY tri-state area)
