Pageant fans can still continue voting for their Miss Universe Philippines 2021 candidates until September 29.

Lazada, MUP’s e-commerce platform partner, said the voting period has been extended from its original September 24 deadline. The candidate with the most votes will secure a spot in the Top 16 of the competition.

Existing Lazada users can cast five votes daily for free. Here’s how interested fans can avail their five daily free votes:

  • In the Lazada Home Page, click on “Feed”
  • In the “Feed” page, click on the “Miss Universe Philippines” tab at the top bar
  • Click the “Go to vote” button and claim the five Daily Free Votes
  • Click on “Vote” below the finalist’s name and photo, and wait for a voting confirmation pop-up

Supporters can also secure more votes for their chosen candidates via the “Voting Packages” promo.  If the user has already used their five free votes, they can just click the “Get more votes” button and choose from the existing voting packages.

Only 28 candidates remain in the competition, after Zambales’ representative Joanna Maria Rabe withdrew from the competition due to dengue and Davao City’s Ybonne Ortega tested positive for COVID-19.

The National Costume competition is on Thursday, September 23, while the preliminary interviews segment is set on Friday, September 24. The Preliminary Swimsuit and Evening Gown Competitions will happen on Sunday, September 26.

The date for the coronation night has yet to be announced. It was initially set for Saturday, September 25.

Reigning queen Rabiya Mateo, who finished her pageant journey in the Top 21, is set to crown her successor. The winner will represent the country in the international pageant to be held in Israel in December. – Rappler.com
