Where are they now? Former Miss Earth PH contestants who shine in different fields

MANILA, Philippines – Miss Earth Philippines 2018 is almost upon us, but before we get to know the new batch of beauty queen hopefuls, here’s a look back at those who have been there, done that, and are now living their lives beyond their Miss Earth titles.

Whether they wound up in entirely different fields or eventually became more famous for something else, these women were all at one point competitors for the Miss Earth Philippines title.

Ginger Conejero

Nowadays Ginger is known for being an ABS-CBN anchor and reporter, but before that, she was a beauty pageant contestant, even finishing as first runner-up in the Miss Philippines Earth tilt in 2006.

Athena Imperial

Another pageant girl-turned-journalist, Athena now works as a correspondent and anchor for GMA News. She represented the country in the Miss Earth pageant in 2011, finishing as 2nd runner-up.

Venus Raj

We all know Venus Raj as the beauty queen who broke our Miss Universe dry spell in 2010 when she broke into the top 10. But before she won the major (major) pageant, she was at one point also a Miss Philippines Earth competitor, finishing as fourth runner-up in the 2008 pageant.

Catherine Untalan

Catherine, who now goes by the name Cathy U. Vital, is a news anchor at PTV4. She was crowned Miss Earth Philippines in the 2006 pageant, and finished as 2nd runner-up in the international tilt.

Psyche Resus

Now based in the US, Psyche Resus is working as an events and partnerships associate at tech startup accelerator, RocketSpace. She was crowned Miss Earth Philippines in 2010.

Imelda Schweighart

People probably haven't forgotten Imelda Schweighart's turn as a pageant queen. After all, her controversial reign as Miss Earth Philippines in 2016 ended with her resigning from her post. But if you didn't know any better, it'd be hard to imagine the now edgy blue-haired singer as a polished pageant hopeful.

Jamie Herrell

It wasn’t too long ago that Jamie brought home the country’s second Miss Earth crown after winning the international pageant in 2014. Today, she is a successful entrepreneur, running a footwear business that specializes in slippers promoting ecotourism in the country.
