Viewers can also catch Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo vie for the crown via Sunday’s Best on the Kapamilya Channel on May 23 at 9:45 pm. Viewers in the Philippines can also watch the pageant on iWantTFC after the live telecast.

Metro Channel will also air the event on May 24 at 12 pm and 10 pm; May 26 at 5 pm; and May 29 at 8:30 am.

Rabiya, 24, is the Philippines’ contender for the international pageant. The Ilongga beauty queen is currently in the US, gearing up for pre-pageant activities leading up to the coronation. She left the Philippines on April 9.

Rabiya was named Miss Universe Philippines in October 2020 – the first winner of the title since the Miss Universe Philippines Organization was launched in 2019. (READ: Rappler Talk: Rabiya Mateo on humility, inspiration during a pandemic)

If Rabiya takes home this year’s crown, she would be the Philippines’ 5th Miss Universe titleholder, joining Gloria Diaz (1969), Margie Moran (1973), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), and Catriona Gray (2018). – Rappler.com
