Miss Universe 2021 set for December 12

Mark your calendars, pageant fans! 

The Miss Universe organization announced on Wednesday, October 27, that the pageant’s 70th coronation night is set to stream live from Eilat, Israel on December 12, at 7 pm ET (December 13, 8 am, Philippine time).

In an October 27 tweet, the organization also announced that singer Noa Kirel will be performing at the show.

The show will see Steve Harvey returning to host, with reigning titleholder Andrea Meza of Mexico crowning her successor.

Andrea was crowned in May 2021 at the 69th edition of the Miss Universe pageant, in a show that had been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Philippine bet Rabiya Mateo, meanwhile, finished in the top 21.

Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City will be representing the Philippines in the upcoming edition of the pageant. She was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2021 in September. – Rappler.com
