The Miss Supranational franchise is now under Miss World Philippines.
On Tuesday, July 28, the Miss World Philippines Organization confirmed that they have acquired the brand and will be sending representatives to the Poland-based pageant.
On its social media accounts, the organization shared the official letter from Miss Supranational president Gerhard Parzutka Von Lipinski.
“Aside from strengthening our foothold in the local and global pageant scenes, the addition of the Miss Supranational title will provide our aspiring Filipina queens with another relevant platform for women empowerment,” Miss World Philippines national director Arnold Vegafria said.
“We are thankful for the trust and confidence that the Miss Supranational organization has given us, and we assure them of our commitment and our world-class brand of production values that are always a hallmark of our pageants.”
Vegafria also confirmed in the post that the Miss World Philippines competition has been moved to January 2021.
Miss Supranational is the latest title to be acquired by the Philippine organization. Other titles under the MWP organization include Reina Hispanoamericana, Miss Eco International, Miss Eco Teen International, Miss Multinational, and Miss Philippines Tourism.
