Gizelle is crowned on April 4

Gizzelle Uys of South Africa was crowned Miss Eco International 2020 during the pageant night held in Egypt on Sunday, April 4 (early morning Monday, April 5, in Manila). 

Gizzelle succeeded Peru’s Suheyn Cipriani. She bested 38 other candidates. 

The Philippines’ Kelley Day was named first runner-up. Meanwhile, the other placements are: USA’s Alexandria Kelly (2nd runner-up), Venezuela’s Stefania Rodriguez (3rd runner-up) and Costa Rica’s Kristell Ruiz (4th runner-up).

Miss Eco International 2020 was originally scheduled last March 23 to April 11, 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the sixth edition of the international beauty pageant that aims to promote environmental awareness and eco-tourism. – Rappler.com
