In an interview with ABS-CBN, Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados shared that her evening gown for finals night will pay tribute to her late mentor Jonas Borces who died early this year.
“He loved roses and other flowers,” she said.
Cary Santiago, who did Gazini's gown in last year's pageant, said that the gown is also his tribute to Borces, who is a good friend.
“It’s a period gown, made of silk, with a stream of floral bouquet at the back, inspired by the favorite rose of Borces. Nothing glittery, just elegant, with dramatic colors and symbolic of Gazini’s gratitude to Borces who stood by her in her low moments in pageantry,” Santiago said.
