Playboy Playmates, cover stars react to Hugh Hefner's death

MANILA, Philippines – Cultural icon and Playboy creator Hugh Hefner died on Wednesday, September 27, to the shock and devastation of many around the world, including the women and Playboy Playmates he was involved with.

Hugh was married 3 times and dated many women at once throughout his 91 years.

Kendra Wilkinson, one of Hugh's former girlfriends, told E! News: "Hef changed my life. He made me the person I am today. I couldn't be more thankful for our friendship and our time together. I will miss him so much but he will be in my heart forever."

Kendra was one of the stars of the reality show The Girls Next Door, which followed the lives of Hugh and his girlfriends, Playboy Mansion roommates Kendra, Holly Madison, and Bridget Marquardt. After 6 seasons, the show ended in 2009.

Meanwhile, Playboy Playmates and Hugh's former girlfriends paid tribute to the publishing mogul on social media.

Bridget tweeted: "So sad but forever grateful for all the wonderful memories and amazing experiences."
