'Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha' is Shin Min-ah's first K-drama since 2019

Shin Min-ah and Kim Seon-ho are set to star in the upcoming Netflix rom-com series Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha. 

Netflix shared on Wednesday, June 23, photos of the lead stars during their script-reading. 

“Are you ready for this dimple couple supremacy? Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is coming to Netflix,” they wrote on Facebook.

According to Netflix, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is a “rom-com telling the story of a pragmatic dentist and an unemployed man.” 

Shin Min-ah, known for her roles in Oh My Venus and My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, is set to play dentist Yoon Hye-jin who has “beauty and brains, but also a clumsy side to her.”

Kim Seon-ho, who rose to fame for his performance in Start Up, will play Hong Du-sik. He is unemployed officially but a master of odd jobs and helps everyone in the seaside village of Gongjin. 

Yu Je-won will be directing the series while Shin Ha-eun will write the screenplay.
