Conan O' Brien to bid goodbye to late-night talk shows after 28 years

It's the end of an era, with comedian Conan 'O Brien set to leave Conan at TBS on June 2021, after its 10th season.

According to a Variety report, WarnerMedia made the announcement of his departure on Tuesday, November 17. They also shared that the 57-year-old host will be moving to HBO Max for an upcoming weekly variety series. No title or details have been released yet.

“In 1993, Johnny Carson gave me the best advice of my career: 'As soon as possible, get to a streaming platform,'” O’Brien joked.

“I’m thrilled that I get to continue doing whatever the hell it is I do on HBO Max, and I look forward to a free subscription," he added.

O' Brien has been hosting Conan on TBS for 10 years, beginning in 2010. Before that, he hosted Late Night with Conan O' Brien in New York, which aired on NBC from 1993 to 2009. –
