The streaming giant announced on Wednesday, October 13, that the 1988 iconic anime series will start streaming on Netflix starting October 21.

Set in 2071, Cowboy Bebop follows a team of bounty hunters led by Spike Spiegel, with crew members Jet Black, Faye Valentine, Radical Ed, and Ein the corgi as they scour the galaxy for dangerous criminals. 

The 26-episode anime series was directed by Shinichiro Watanabe. Keiko Nobomuto was the screenwriter and Yoko Kanna was the composer. The animated version has inspired two manga series and an anime film released in 2001.
