MANILA, Philippines – For over a decade, Game of Thrones fans – both casual and hardcore – made it a point every Monday (or Sunday in the United States) to buckle down for an hour or so and get caught up with the events in Westeros and beyond.
On Monday, May 20, that tradition officially came to a close. Game of Thrones officially wrapped up with the 6th episode of the 8th season, aptly entitled "The Iron Throne."
As expected, the reactions to the episode – which aired Monday morning in the Philippines – were fast and varied.
Here are the highlights so far:
** WARNING, SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON FINALE FOLLOW **
This isn't exactly a reaction, but it's a prediction that'll make even the most die-hard Game of Thrones fans chuckle.

I like the idea of Americans spending ten years watching how noble ideas abt being the grand liberators can lead you to explaining, very calmly, how you HAD to napalm those children. Not flawless, but #GameOfThrones had something to say, in the end, and I admire that immensely. https://t.co/m96tDOoNQ4 — Anthony Oliveira (@meakoopa) May 20, 2019

Not everyone was happy though. What's a Game of Thrones episode without a little trash talking from dutiful fans who watched the entire episode anyway?

Game of Thrones is based on the book series A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin. The show is one of the most critically acclaimed and hyped on television. The final season, however, has gotten a lot of flak for what many fans have attributed to bad writing. – Rappler.com
