MANILA, Philippines – The drag pageant “for Filipinos, by Filipinos” is just a few days away, and the first official trailer for Drag Den Philippines is getting everyone extra hyped about its premiere!

The franchise shared the trailer on Twitter on Thursday, December 1.

“So prepare to get high as we take you on a rollercoaster trip. This is not a hit and run – kailangan nating i-witness kung sino ba talaga ang First-Ever Drag Supreme (we need to witness who will truly be the First-Ever Drag Supreme)! No to hearsays, yes to bodycams,” the show wrote.

Set in an “underground den in the outskirts of Manila,” RuPaul’s Drag Race star and Drag Den Lord Manila Luzon is seen welcoming all eight Filipino drag superstars to the mix. The queens are shown joking around with judges “Drag Runner” Sassa Gurl, “Drag Dealer” Nicole Cordoves, and “Drag Enforcer” Catriona Gray, before walking down the runway in their best drag.

Manila Luzon also gave a sneak peek of some of the themes of the drag challenges, which include “Pinoy national symbol” and “Pinoy fiesta-themed national costume.”

Drag Den Philippines’ first-ever season introduced its full cast in a mini-trailer on November 17. It it set for a December 8 worldwide premiere via Prime Video Philippines.

The show, which was first announced in July 2021, is produced by Cornerstone and Project 8 with Antoinette Jadaone and Rod Singh as creative directors and producers. – Rappler.com
