As of now, there are no specific plans for a new season of the hit South Korean medical drama

Hit South Korean medical drama Hospital Playlist won’t be returning for a third season, the series’ production team confirmed on Thursday, September 16.

According to a Soompi report, an industry representative said that the drama will end with season two, while Hospital Playlist’s production crew said that “as of now, there are no specific plans for a new season.” However, they said that the staff and cast “have the definite will to unite if a new season is planned someday.”

The season two finale of the popular K-drama aired on Thursday, September 16, via South Korean network tvN and Netflix. The second season began premiering in June 2021, while the first season first aired in March 2020.

Hospital Playlist centers around a tight-knit group of five best friends in their 40s who all work in the same hospital after meeting each other in medical school in 1999.

The series stars Jo Jung-suk as Lee Ik-jun, Yoo Yeon-seok as Ahn Jeong-won, Jeon Mi-do as Chae Song-hwa, Jung Kyung-ho as Kim Jun-wan, and Kim Dae-myung as Yang Seok-hyung. – Rappler.com
