Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla are set to return to the small screen in the upcoming television series Too Good to be True.

Daniel also shared his excitement over the upcoming project. “After four years na wala kami sa TV, ito na nagbabalik na kami. Magtataping na kami very soon. (After four years that we weren’t seen on TV, we’re finally returning. We’re going to start taping soon),” he said. 

Their last teleserye was La Luna Sangre, which ran from June 2017 to March 2018. Kathryn and Daniel also revealed that for the past year, they’ve been hands-on in conceptualizing the project. 

“With the help of the whole production team and director Mae [Alviar], sinabi talaga namin ni DJ na gusto talaga namin na gumawa ng isang rom-com (DJ and I really said that we wanted to have a romantic-comedy series),” Kathryn said. 

Daniel added, “Nakagawa na kaming lahat nang isang magandang proyekto, isang magandang script kaya excitement na lang talaga ang nararamdaman ko ngayon kasi it’s been a while.” (We were able to conceptualize a good project and make a good script. That’s why I just feel so excited because it’s been a while.) 

Other details such as the rest of the cast and the series’ target release date have yet to be announced. 

Kathryn and Daniel last starred in the digital movie series The House Arrest of Us which aired from October 2020 to January 2021. They also recently released a 90-minute documentary to mark their 10th anniversary as a love team.  – Rappler.com
