A ‘Legends of the Hidden Temple’ reboot for adults is in the works
Are you team Blue Barracuda or Silver Snakes?

MANILA, Philippines – The  Nickelodeon children’s game show from the 90s, Legends of The Hidden Temple is making a comeback, and this time, it’s for grown-ups.

The revival of the all-knowing Olmec and the scary Temple Guards will be premiering on Quibi, a mobile-only streaming platform, which is set for an April 2020 launch.

Nickelodeon and Stone & Company, the original co-creator of the series, will be helming the reboot. There is no confirmation yet if original host Kirk Fogg will be returning.

According to an Entertainment Weekly report, the Legends reboot will no longer be limited to a studio – the game will take place in a jungle built with tougher challenges and bigger prizes. However, the signature obstacle/maze run inside the temple and the moat crossing segment will still be present.

“Bringing back Legends for Quibi is a dream come true,” said executive producer Scott A. Stone of Stone & Company.

Nickelodeon’s Legends first ran from 1993 to 1999 on the network. A movie spin-off of the same name was released in 2016.

Here’s hoping the Red Jaguars, Blue Barracudas, Green Monkeys, Orange Iguanas, Purple Parrots, and Silver Snakes return as well! – Rappler.com
