The fifth season of 'Money Heist' will be the series' last

The fifth season of the hit Spanish crime drama series Money Heist (Las Casas De Papel) has wrapped up filming.

Netflix shared the news alongside a behind-the-scenes photo of the cast. Fan-favorite characters Professor, Tokyo, Helsinki, Denver, Rio, Berlin, Stockholm, and Lisbon were all seen in the picture.

“What started as a heist, ended as a family,” they wrote. “It’s a wrap on Part 5 of La Casa de Papel / Money Heist. Thank you to all the fans for being part of La Resistencia, we can’t wait to show you how this story ends.”

Creator Alex Pina announced in August 2020 that the fifth season will be the series’ last. “The war reaches its most extreme and savage levels, but it is also the most epic and exciting season,” he said.

Money Heist follows a group of people as they pull off elaborate bank robberies. The heists were masterminded by a mysterious figure known as The Professor (Alvaro Morte).

It is Netflix’s most-watched non-English series. A Korean adaptation of Money Heist is also in production.

The premiere date for the fifth season has yet to be announced. – Rappler.com
