Netflix unveiled on Friday, September 3, the official logo for their upcoming live-action adaptation of the manga One Piece.

The series’ official Twitter account also uploaded a photo of the script, revealing that the title of the first episode is “Romance Dawn.”

Showrunner Steven Maeda quoted the post, saying, “It’s been a long wait.”

The logo and pilot episode title are the first updates since Netflix first announced about the live-action adaptation in January 2020. According to the Variety report, the series is set to have 10 episodes.

Originally released in 1997, One Piece centers around Monkey D. Luffy, a boy whose body takes on the properties of rubber after eating a Devil Fruit. He and his friends then set out on a quest to find the “One Piece” treasure and become king of the pirates. The manga has spawned 14 animated films and a long-running anime series.  – Rappler.com
