Part two of Netflix's French mystery thriller series is coming this year

Mystery thriller series Lupin is getting a second season, slated to premiere on Netflix in the summer of 2021.

The French show debuted on January 8, 2020, and became a global hit. The 5-episode season stars Omar Sy as Assane Diop, a thief and master of disguise in Paris, inspired by the story of mastermind Arsène Lupin. Diop is out for revenge 25 years after seeing his father die after being framed for a robbery.

The series’ first part is directed by George Kay (Killing Eve) and François Uzan. It is based on the literary character created by French author Maurice LeBlanc in 1905.

According to a Deadline report, Lupin’s second part will be directed by Ludovic Bernard and Hugo Gélin. Other cast members such as Hervé Pierre, Nicole Garcia, Clotilde Hesme, and Ludivine Sagnier will be returning as well. – Rappler.com
