YouTube Originals series '30 Days With: Bretman Rock' stars the beauty guru as he ditches social media and attempts to survive in a Hawaiian jungle for a week

Hawaii-based Filipino beauty vlogger and internet baddie Bretman Rock announced on Wednesday, June 16, that he is set to headline in a new Youtube Originals documentary show.

The four-part docu-series, 30 Days With: Bretman Rock, will be taking viewers on an adventure as Bretman swaps his glitzy and glamorous life with a week of surviving alone in a jungle in Hawaii, showing the beauty guru in a way “he’s never been seen before.”

“The glam star will be learning how to make fire, get milk from coconuts, and climb trees,” the show’s description on YouTube read.

“I really want to go to the jungle to reconnect with Bret,” Bretman said in the trailer. “I don’t even know why I’m getting emotional. I never really had a breather from social media.”

Dedicated as a tribute to his late father who died in 2019, the social media superstar goes off the grid to physically and mentally prepare as he tests his survival skills. The show will also feature survival experts, as well as some of his close family members.

The first episode of 30 Days With: Bretman Rock will premiere on June 30 via Youtube.

30 Days With: Bretman Rock is the latest installment of the ongoing 30 Days With franchise, which showcases different personalities and their journey in their personal lives and careers.

Bretman, 22, recently starred on his own MTV reality show, Following Bretman Rock, in February.

Born in the Philippines and raised in Hawaii since he was 8 years old, Bretman rose to online stardom for his vlogs and make-up tutorial videos. He currently has over 16.7 million followers on Instagram and 8.54 million subscribers on his Youtube channel. – with reports from Paolo Alejandrino/Rappler.com
