'Umbrella Academy' season 3 wraps filming

We’ll be seeing the Hargreeves siblings back in action soon!

The third season for the superhero series Umbrella Academy has wrapped up filming, the show's cast announced on social media.

“That’s a wrap on season three of Umbrella Academy. I’m stoked ‘cause I can’t wait for you to see it and sad cause I’ll miss everybody,” Elliot Page, who plays Vanya Hargreeves in the series, said.

Emmy Raver-Lampman, who plays Allison Hargreeves, added, “Wow. I don’t think the world’s ready for this. I think it’s our best season yet.”

The one-minute clip also features messages from other returning cast members including Aidan Gallagher, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Robert Sheehan, Justin Min, Ritu Arya, and Colm Feore announcing the wrap for season three.

Netflix confirmed earlier said that a 10-episode third season would get the green light in November 2020. Production started in February 2021.

Plot details for the third season have yet to be announced. However, it can be recalled that at the end of its second season, the show introduced the Sparrow Academy, an alternate version of the Umbrella Academy that was formed after a time-travel debacle left the original Hargreeves siblings scattered all over the 1960s.

In January 2021, Netflix announced that Justin Cornwell, Britne Oldford, Jake Epstein, Genesis Rodriguez, and Cazzie David will play characters from the Sparrow Academy for the upcoming season.

Justin H Min, who was part of the Umbrella Academy, returns as a more vicious version of his original character Ben Hargreeves. He is now part of the Sparrow Academy as Sparrow #2.

Based on the Dark Horse comic book series written by Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá, The Umbrella Academy is about seven children who are born at the same time and have with superpowers. They are adopted by billionaire Reginald Hargreeves, who trains them to save the world.
