WATCH: Marcelito Pomoy wows judges, audience in 'America’s Got Talent: The Champions'

MANILA, Philippines – Pilipinas Got Talent 2011 winner Marcelito Pomoy impressed the judges and audience of America's Got Talent: The Champions after sing the song "The Prayer."

Marcelito started with Celine Dion's part in the song, already impressing the crowd. But it's when he began singing Andrea Bocelli's part that both judges and the audience really went wild. 

"That was so unique, you are a beautiful, wonderful singer with a young woman trap inside of you," Howie Mandel said.

Alesha Dixon and Heidi Klum also praised Marcelito for his performance.

Simon Cowell, meanwhile, said: "That was what I call a 10, a simple as that. I have a feeling that the super fans will put you through to the next round."

America’s Got Talent: The Champions is a special edition that brings together both fan favorites from the original American franchise and standouts from different Got Talent franchises all around the world. 

Marcelito has also appeared on Ellen DeGeneres' show in 2018. He also got to met Celine Dion, one of his favorite singers, after Ellen gave him tickets to watch Celine in Las Vegas last year. – Rappler.com
