Disney released on Monday, February 1, a mid-season trailer for its latest Marvel Studios series, WandaVision.
The mid-season trailer begins with Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) being forced out of Wanda and Vision’s suburban world. Agent Woo (Randall Park) and Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) continue to try to make sense of the “Westview Anomaly,” as Vision himself questions what’s beyond it. The trailer also shows clips of the couple dressed in attire from across different decades, and a “confessional” shot that references Modern Family’s style.
Thus far, 4 episodes of the limited series have been released on Disney+.
The show follows Wanda Maximoff (aka the Scarlet Witch played by Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) as they live a seemingly idyllic life in the American suburbs – but there’s a catch. The series is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, which means Vision (spoiler alert) is very much dead (he died before Thanos’ first snap which means he’s still dead post-Avengers win).
The series includes characters who’ve appeared in previous Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) feature films – Agent Woo was in Ant-Man and the Wasp, Darcy was an intern in the first two Thor movies, while Monica Rambeau, the daughter of Air Force pilot Maria Rambeau, was in Captain Marvel (as a child).
WandaVision is the first release under “Phase 4” of the MCU and will run for 9 episodes. It’ll be followed by another Disney+ series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Disney+ is not yet available in the Philippines. – Rappler.com
