MANILA, Philippines - Actress Lovi Poe was burning with fever at her first ever wedding magazine cover shoot for V Weddings magazine when Rappler came over and asked for an interview.
There is no denying that the young actress (she's only 23) is one of the most promising among her peers, appearing in several films every year since she entered showbusiness in 2006.
Among her more popular earlier projects are Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang (TV series, 2009) and the comedy remake of Temptation Island (film, 2011).
This year, fans saw her in Erik Matti's digital breakthrough Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles and at the Bench Universe fashion show last September.
Lovi will be seen in two films at this year's Metro Manila Film Festival: Brillante Mendoza's Thy Womb and Regal Films' Shake, Rattle and Roll 14. - Rappler.com
