MANILA, Philippines – Congratulations are in order – Jason Dy has won the second season of The Voice of the Philippines, with 52.94% of the public vote.
"Maraming maraming salamat, thank you so much Lord, you are amazing," he said through tears.
Jason, 24, faced off against street vendor and viral video sensation Alisah Bonaobra in the final round of the competition in a last bid for the victory. Here's what they had up their sleeves:
Earlier, Jason's coach Sarah Geronimo told viewers this in the final pitch to voters: "He is the voice of today, he is a world-class talent and he deserves to be heard all over the world."
In an interview after the finals, Jason shared what he has learned from his coach Sarah Geronimo.
