Ang Huling El Bimbo: The Musical draws from the Filipino ’90s hit group Eraserheads’ songbook, and revolves around the complicated relationships of four friends – Joy, Hector, Anthony (or AJ), and Emman. It begins at present day, with the murder of Joy. The three remaining friends are summoned to the police station, and are forced to reexamine their relationships with Joy – and themselves.

The musical was available to stream via ABS-CBN’s online channels in May 2020. It was first staged at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in July 2018 and has had several runs since then, with its last run happening from July to August 2019. – Rappler.com
