The actress reprises her role as Fantine for six shows

Rachelle Ann Go shared photos from her recent run as Fantine in Les Miserables: The Staged Concert, calling it “an amazing birthday treat.”

The actress took over the role once again in the concert version of the hit musical on London’s West End. She performed in six shows, from August 31 to September 4.

It was Rachelle Ann’s first time to return to the stage since giving birth to her son Lukas in March 2021.

Sharing behind-the-scenes photos, Rachelle Anne said “It might be a while until I’m in costume again! So might as well do a photoshoot.”

She shared that she was apprehensive to do the show at first because she was thinking of her son.

“I was so scared to do it since I didn’t know how I’m going to manage my time with Lukas. I told myself I couldn’t do it. How will I sing, I never sleep! But praise God we did it! Always do it scared right?! It all worked out,” she said.

“Thank you to everyone who came to watch and to all the Filipinos who said hi after the show!!!” she added.

Rachelle Ann first played Fantine in the West End revival of Les Miserables in 2015.

On West End, she also played Eliza Schuyler in Hamilton (a performance that won her a Best Actress award from BroadwayWorld UK), and Gigi Van Tranh in Miss Saigon – a role she also played on Broadway.

Les Miserables: The Staged Concert is the hit concert version of the beloved musical. It opened at the Sondheim Theater in December 2020.
