Recap: 'Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids' season 2, week 7
MANILA, Philippines – This week's Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids once again saw our kiddie contestants level up, with Onyok Pineda winning this week's challenge.
Here's a look at the transformations from June 16 and 17.
Krystal Brimner as Sam Smith
Krystal was the first to perform as Sam Smith with the song "Lay Me Down."
Nyoy Volante said that despite her struggle with some of the notes in the song, her transformation into Sam was still natural.
TNT Boys as Hagibis
The trio this week took the spotlight as members of the legendary boy group that popularized "Nanggigigil" and "Legs."
Sharon Cuneta said the boys' performance was getting better as the weeks went by.
Esang de Torres as Cyndi Lauper
Esang transformed into one of the top icons of the '80s, and sang "True Colors."
Nyoy saif they were "captured by the moment" as Esang performed.
Chunsa Jung as Katy Perry
Junsa, meanwhile transformed into Katy Perry, singing her famous song "California Girls."
Ogie Alcasid said that her performance was again of the "cute" ones, making her all the more loveable to everyone.
Sheena Belarmino as Ariana Grande
From transforming into Regine Velasquez, Sheena went on to portray Ariana Grande this week, with the song "Problem."
Before judges gave their comments, Sheena was treated to a surprise message from her dad, who is based in Cebu. Ogie described Sheena's performance as "YAS" which literally meant "You're A Sensational singer."
Marco Masa as Yeng Constantino
Marco turned into Yeng, singing "Paasa T.A.N.G.A."
Nyoy praised Marco for always working hard on the roles assigned to him.
On Instagram, Yeng captioned Marco's performance as "Kyooot!"
Onyok Pineda as Freddie Aguilar
Onyok performed Freddie's song "Bulag, Pipi, at Bingi," which impressed everyone, especially the judges.
Sharon said it was one of Onyok's best performances and that she was so proud of what he has done this week.
Noel Comia Jr as Frank Sinatra
Noel ended the performances this week with his take on Frank Sinatra's "Fly Me to the Moon."
Sharon said that while she wasn't surprised that Noel managed to copy Frank's look and voice, it was his ability to mimic his movements that impressed her. "You can do anything," she said.
Onyok emerged as the winner of the 7th week of the show. He got a medal, P50,000 in cash, and P50,000 worth of books for his chosen charity, the Silahis ng Katarungan Special School, a school for kids with behavioral problems. – Rappler.com
