Recap: 'Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids' season 2, week 11
MANILA, Philippines – Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids is now on its 11 week and the competition is getting tougher and tougher. This week, the kids once again showed they're up to the challenge, with Sheena Belarmino given the task of impersonating no less than show judge Sharon Cuneta.
Marco Masa transformed into Enrique Gil and definitely caught everyone's attention.
Here's what happened during the July 14 and 15 episodes:
Esang de Torres as Freddie Mercury
Esang transformed into Queen's Freddie Mercury, singing "I Want to Break Free."
Nyoy Volante commended Esang for doing Freddie Mercury well. This was the first time that a girl has impersonated the iconic Queen lead vocalist on the kids' show.
TNT Boys as Donna Cruz, Regine Velasquez, and Mikee Cojuangco
The boys did their own take on the iconic trio from the movie Do, Re, Mi.
Sharon Cuneta said that she almost wanted to cry because it was one of the most heartfelt performance she's seen so far.
Onyok Pineda as Louis Armstrong
Onyok took on Louis Armstrong, singing "What A Wonderful World."
Ogie Alcasid said that he was impressed and that they were proud of him.
Chunsa Jung as Shakira
Chunsa took on the challenge of shaking to the Colombian singer's hit "Waka Waka."
Nyoy commended Chunsa, saying that she has already learned how to maniuplate her voice. He also described the performance as very "festive."
Noel Comia as Elton John
Noel challenged himself by transforming into Elton John and singing "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road."
Sharon said she felt that Noel had to give more flamboyant into his role as Elton but managed to get the action and voice of Elton.
Sheena Belarmino as Sharon Cuneta
From last week's Jessa Zaragoza, Sheena transformed into Sharon and sang "Pangarap na Bituin."
Sharon also sang "Sana Wala Nang Wakas" with Sheena.
Ogie commended Sheena for taking on the challenge, despite the obvious pressure of transforming into one of the judges.
Sharon, meanwhilem could not help but praise Sheena. "Usually ngumi-ngiti lang ako kapag ginagaya ako pero (I would just smile when someone imitates me but) I have to say that tonight, I am very, very happy with what you did. I really appreciate that," she said.
Marco Masa as Enrique Gil
Marco impersonated Enrique, singing "Mobe."
Ogie clapped for Marco and said he was blazing when he entered the stage.
Krystal Brimner as Toni Gonzaga
Krystal closed the show, singing Toni Gonzaga's "Catch Me I'm Falling."
Nyoy said that Krystal was able to imitate Toni's voice and that he enjoyed her performance.
As part of his prize, Marco got a medal, P 50,000 cash, and P 50,000 worth of clothes for his chosen charity, SOS Children's Village in Muntinlupa. – Rappler.com
