WATCH: ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 8, Episode 4 trailer

MANILA, Philippines – They’ve survived a long and (literally) dark battle but if the teaser trailer for the 4th episode of the final Game of Thrones season is any indication, a bigger war with even higher stakes looms. 

“We have won the great war. Now we will win the last war,” says Daenerys in Winterfell, as Cersei and Euron prepare their forces back in King’s Landing. 

Episode 4 jumps off from the events of Episode 3, which showcased the long-awaited showdown between the forces at Winterfell and the Night King’s army of White Walkers and wights. 

While that was a hard fight, it seems like the coming battle won’t be any easier.

In the last season Dany and Jon Snow tried to convince Cersei that they needed to band together to defeat the Night King. Cersei pledged her support but in true Cersei fashion, didn’t deliver. Only Jamie traveled to Winterfell to help Jon and Dany’s army in the standoff. 

Instead, Cersei is preparing for a different battle – the one for the Iron Throne.

Game of Thrones is based on the book series Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin. It is one of the most critically acclaimed and hyped shows on television.
