“I am an acquired taste,” Matty said after the elimination. “It’s hard to accept someone like me pero throughout my journey naman I felt na in this community, I felt I was accepted. And I think hindi lang siya nag come through with camera, with TV and everything.

“But I’m so happy kasi I got to march yesterday with my eye shadow, and with my performance and I’ve been able to sing my heart out. I waited for one year for this moment. And I think I’ve served my purpose na rin.”

Rachel thanked the staff of the show for giving them the opportunity to show their talent. She also thanked her co-Idol contestants.

Hindi ko naramdaman na competition ito parang naramdaman ko na talagang pamilya po kami,” she said, also giving a shout out to her followers.

(I never felt it was a competition because I felt we were all a big family.)
