‘The End of the F***ing World’ is returning in November

MANILA, Philippines – We may soon find out what happened to The End of the F***ing World’s James and Alyssa after that cliffhanger of a season 1 finale over a year ago. 

Netflix announced in August 2018 that the show would be having a second season, and on social media on October 9, it finally revealed the premiere date. So, f***ing fans, mark your calendars: the show returns on November 5.

The announcement included an image of Alyssa, played by Jessica Barden, sitting in a diner, wearing a long white ball gown – could it be a wedding dress? – with what appears to be an urn across from her.

The caption to the image reads: “I’m Alyssa. I’m nineteen. And I thought I’d already had the shittest day of my life.”

In the first season Alyssa goes on a catastrophic road trip across England with James (Alex Lawther), who initially planned to murder her because he was convinced he was a psychopath. That’s not to say that there is no body count though, and by the end of the season, the police catch up with the pair – and the final shot is of James running on the beach. We hear a gunshot, and the scene fades to black.

With that in mind, it’s not a stretch to say that it’s James in the urn across Alyssa – but we really, really hope it isn’t.

Whatever has happened, all will be revealed when the show premieres on Netflix on November 5. – Rappler.com
