MANILA, Philippines – Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil have worked with many veteran actors both in television and movies – and most, if not all, have praised their work ethic.

The veteran actors of their new show Make It With You also have the same feedback – both are respectful and professional.

Eddie Gutierrez said he went through love team routine himself when he started in Sampaguita. “I’m really happy for Enrique. He looks like a good person. Alam ko magtatagal sila sa industry (I know they will stay long in the industry),” he said during a press conference.

Herbert Bautista, who makes a return to television after a decade-long stint as Quezon City mayor, said of the couple’s relationship: “Kitang-kita ko yung pagmamahalan nila. Tapos sa set, sobrang sweet nila.” (I really saw how they love each other. And when they are on the set, they’re very sweet.)

Ian Veneracion, who plays Enrique’s father in the show, has worked with Liza before in Got to Believe. It’s the first time he’s worked with Enrique.

Nakakailan days pa lang kami na magkakasama. Feeling ko magkasundo kami ni Enique sa kapilyuhan. Mga kwentuhang kalokohan. And I’m very sure na magtatagal sila sa industry. Kasi they are very professional and they are very serious about their work.”

(We’ve been taping for a few days now. I feel Enrique and I are okay with each other because we agreed when it comes to the naughty moments, funny stories. And I’m very sure that they will last in the industry. Because they are professional and they are very serious about their work.)

Katya Santos, who started her career as part of Ang TV said: “Kasi ngayon pag nagoobserve ako, iba na ang millennials, mga bagong artista na bata. So nung una nakita ko sila, medyo meron akong… nahihiya ako [dahil] hindi ko alam paano kaya yung way nila or kasi may mga bagong bata na hindi na masyadong namamansin talaga, walang respect minsan.

(What I observed with millennials today, the new young actors, they’ve very different. So when I first saw them, I was a bit shy, I guess because I do not know they were or because there are some kids who do not even greet you, sometimes they do not even respect you.)

Of course meron akong medyo kaunting fear pero nagulat ako kasi kung ano yung mga kasama ko before, yung mga kinalakihan namin dati, ganun silang dalawa. Very humble, very simple.”

(Of course there was some fear but I was surprise because from what I experience from before, from what I’ve grown up wit, these two have it. Very humble, very simple.)
