ABS-CBN to re-air ‘Sineskwela,’ ‘Bayani,’ ‘Hiraya Manawari’

MANILA, Philippines – A new generation of viewers will now be able to watch hit educational TV shows Sineskwela, Bayani, and Hiraya Manawari as ABS-CBN brings them back on air starting Saturday, March 28.

The children’s shows, which originally ran from the mid-’90s to the early 2000s, will take over the Saturday morning time slots of ABS-CBN.

Sineskwela, a show that explained science with colorful characters and animations, is scheduled to air from 8:30 am to 9 am.

Bayani, which told the stories of Filipino historical figures, follows at 9 am to 9:30 am.

Hiraya Manawari, a values education program that adapts Filipino myths and legends, is scheduled for 9:30 am to 10 am.

ABS-CBN has been re-airing its old programs after the network halted production on all its live entertainment and teleserye productions on March 15 to comply with the community quarantine imposed by the government.

This has seen fan favorites such as On The Wings of Love, 100 Days to Heaven, and May Bukas Pa returning to the network’s primetime lineup.

As of Friday, March 27, the Philippines has 803 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus, with 54 deaths and 31 recoveries.

The number of cases worldwide has risen to over 500,000, with at least 23,000 deaths. The virus has spread to 182 countries. – Rappler.com
