Fuji Television cancels current season of 'Terrace House'
MANILA, Philippines – Fuji Television announced on Wednesday May 27, that it was canceling its popular reality show Terrace House: Tokyo 2019-2020 after one of its cast members died.
According to a report from Kyodo News, the television network will terminate the show after professional wrestler Hana Kimura, 22, died. Kimura reportedly faced a lot of online bullying over to her behavior and remarks on the show.
In a statement posted on the show's website and Twitter, the show's producers sent their condolence to Kimura's family while announcing that they've canceled production for the current season.
Kimura's death was confirmed by the World Wonder Ring Stardom, a women's wrestling league in Japan, last week.
Before her death, Kimura's last message on Instagram had the words "I'm sorry."
Kimura posted the image shortly before her death was confirmed by a hospital. The wrestler also sent another online message that read "goodbye."– with a report from Agence France-Presse/Rappler.com
