MANILA, Philippines – The year's brightest and most in-demand artists – as well as timeless legends – gathered at the Billboard Music Awards, May 22, Sunday (Monday in Manila). The awards night was held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, USA.

The awards are held annually by the music publication of the same name. According to Billboard, the finalists were selected "based on album and digital song sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social engagement measured by Billboard and its data partners."

Adele took home the Top Artist and Top Female Artist Awards, while Justin Bieber grabbed the Top Male Artist award. The Weeknd dominated the awards, taking home 8 trophies out of his 19 nominations in 16 categories.
