MABUHAY, PHILIPPINES! Director Zack Snyder thanks Filipinos for supporting 'Man of Steel' and invites those who haven't seen the movie yet to go see it.

MANILA, Philippines - "Thank you for giving the 'Man of Steel' a huge, huge, huge welcome!"

"Man of Steel" director Zack Snyder (who also helmed "300," "Watchmen") said in a thank you video for the Philippines posted on June 23 on YouTube.

The film opened in the Philippines last June 12. According to a statement from Warner Bros Philippines, it broke the record for "biggest first-day gross in history" with an astounding P69.52-M.

As of writing, “Man of Steel” has grossed P346-million. According to the same statement, it is Warner Bros. Philippines' "most successful title ever."

The film stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Kal-El/Superman, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni and Russell Crowe as Jor-El.
