MANILA, Philippines – Anyone who’s ever had a “twin syndrome” moment will find comfort shopping in Religioso.

Sisters Yvette Religioso-Ilagan and Choc Religioso-Dayrit own and manage this store that will grab your attention with its minimal window display.

That their maiden name is the Filipino word for “religious” suits them perfectly because both live their passion for fashion (pardon the pun) with complete faith.

Yvette and Choc were the last to sit down with RAPPLER that day we visited the Filipino Zone of Greenbelt 2, and our chat felt so light and easy that all intimidation I ever felt about their store (I hardly pulled from them when I was still a freelance stylist) melted.

Religioso is a store that offers endless possibilities as far as styling is concerned.

Those who know how to mix and match the different pieces will come up with enough outfits to send down a runway for this store alone. 

A plus is that — like all the designers we’ve featured here in RAPPLER — the Religioso sisters sell fashion made from Filipino materials, by Filipino designers.
