Cool, clean and light — that's what the designer's vision of summer fashion is all about

MANILA, Philippines – Philippine Fashion Week Summer 2013 opened on October 23 at the SMX Convention Center in SM Mall of Asia with 3 shows: the Supermodel 2012 competition, Mint and L’Oreal Paris featuring Albert Andrada and Ezra Santos.

Designer Albert Andrada’s collection is fresh — in fabric and in color. The subtly-candy and pastel palette is a joy to the senses: you can almost “smell” the fresh breeze of summer just by looking at every piece (and while we know that Philippine summer is not always cool and windy, we look forward to it nonetheless).

Soft dresses and trousers dominate the collection in silk, tulle, crepe, chiffon and Chantilly lace.

The designer says he was inspired Claude Monet’s painting, “Morning at Etretat.”
