MANILA, Philippines – The Love Gala, Asia’s Premier Charity and Awards for HIV/AIDS was held on Saturday, May 11 at the Vertis Tent in Quezon City, with Love Gala ambassador Pia Wurtzbach spearheading the event.
The event, which gathered HIV/AIDS awareness advocates, also honors individuals and organizations who have dedicated their time to the cause, through the Ripple Awards.
Entertainment was provided by no less than Concert King Martin Nievera, who even performed two songs with Pia for the occasion.
Other guests include singers Rhap Salazar, Jeffrey Hidalgo, Leah Patricio, and Laarni Lozada. Photographer BJ Pascual, Vivoree Esclito, CK of Hashtags, and Zeus Collins also lend their time ot the charity event and gala night.
During her speech, Pia also announced a new project she and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray are spearheading for Love Yourself Philippines called the U=U campaign.

“All of you have played an important role to help fight our battles against HIV and AIDS and all of you have proven your passion and all of you have stood up to help the community to think and be more positive, despite being affected by HIV.”
“And as we move forward, let me be your voice to9gether with our new Miss universe sister Catriona Gray as we embark on a new campaign, it’s called U=U. The U=U stands for undetectable equals untransmitable. This campaign fortifies one of Love Yourself’s primary guiding principles in its HIV/AIDS prevention philosophy which is timely testing and treatment,” she said.
