'Made for Hope' exhibit aims to help children transform and heal emotionally through art therapy

ART FOR A CAUSE. Art works at the Made for Hope exhibit will benefit children who wish to transform and heal

MANILA, Philippines – 31 artists come together for an exhibit that will benefit attendees of art therapy sessions for transformation and healing.

The “Made for Hope” exhibit is backed by the association of artists who participated in the annual Metrobank Art & Design Excellence contest and who call themselves MADE Network of Winners (MADE NOW).

Under MADE NOW’s art for social action program, the artists mounted the show at the Art Galileia in Bonifacio Global City.

The proceeds from the exhibit will support art therapy sessions for children in conflict with the law, children with disabilities, and other sectors seeking transformation and healing through art practice.

In art therapy, children who may have previous trauma or behavioral problems are expected to experience change and growth on a personal level by using art materials in a safe environment, while integrating psychotherapeutic techniques with the creative process to improve one’s mental health and well-being.
