MANILA, Philippines – When it comes to aging, a woman counts not only the numbers to her life, but also the diverse experiences and unique achievements she has accomplished throughout the years.

Last October 16, Olay, together with Philippine Star YStyle, celebrated the achievements of women of all ages in their event dubbed “Cutting Age,” held at the Rockwell Tent. The event brought together a diverse set of accomplished ladies, from ambassadors to attendees.

Watch the live stream and live blog here.

Olay’s #ProudofMyAge muses featured in the event were Camille Co, Nikki Gil, Mikee Cojuanco and Mandy dela Rama. Each woman was paired with a designer who dressed her according to the style they saw fit.

The event also previewed episodes of Olay Conversations, where the 4 muses each opened up to TV host Boy Abunda. Topics ranged from navigating life transformations, the journey of self-discovery and rediscovery, unveiling true personas and finding personal fulfillment in new roles.

Here is the first full video featuring Mikee Cojuangco:

Rappler spoke to each of the multi-talented #ProudOfMyAge muses and their respective designers on their ages, accomplishments, skin care rituals and the beauty of adding years to life.

CAMILLE CO, 25, @itscamilleco

On being in her 20s

“It’s a milestone to reach 25 because it’s where you transition from being a young adult into [full-on] adulthood. The best part is being able to get away with things that you won’t be able to get away with [as a younger person]!”

On her biggest accomplishment so far

“Just being able to do what I love doing and being successful at it. I guess it’s being able to merge my blogging and designing and everything I thought I could never do — I actually did and am still doing. It’s a simple achievement but, at this age, to [be able to] say you’re content is the biggest achievement I could think of.”

On her skin care ritual

“Always wash your face after a long day. Never sleep with your make up on. Always moisturize. I have oily skin, but just because one has oily skin doesn’t mean one should skip moisturizing or toning.”

Proud Race designers Rik Rasos and Pat Mosby, @proudrace

On dressing Camille Co

Rik: We wanted something different for Camille. She’s dressed up in a more boyish outfit for tonight.

Pat: But still a bit more glamorous

On being in their 20s

Pat: You get to experiment a lot. This is a time where you make your mistakes.

Rik: You make your mistakes and you know how to correct them!

On their biggest accomplishment so far

Rik: Producing the label just by ourselves!

Pat: Being able to do what we do.

NIKKI GIL, 26, @nikkigil

On being in her 20s

“I’m old enough to do certain things. I’m mature enough to make certain decisions, but I’m also able to make mistakes. I’m in between and loving it.”

On her biggest accomplishment so far

“The fact that I’m still here. We know that longevity is always an issue in show business. The fact that I’m still here is an achievement. I’m still doing what I love doing.”

On her skin care ritual

“Beauty tips vary from person to person. For me, cleansing is really, really important. Because I don’t have much time, I’m not much into rituals. I like putting on one thing that does everything.”

On the sexiness of aging

“When you age, when you grow up, you know more things. For me, knowing things is super sexy. You are seasoned with experiences, and that wisdom makes a woman sexy.”

Designer Maureen Disini, @maureendisini

On dressing Nikki Gil

“I wanted something timeless and sensual at the same time. I thought of designing a gown that would show her curves and added some art deco beadwork at the back just to keep things interesting.”

On being in her 30s

“I am more confident in myself. I already know what I want.”

On her biggest accomplishment so far

“At 34, I’ve pretty much done everything. In a span of 3 years, I went to 3 schools in Europe, and I have a small thriving business of my own. I’m pretty happy about that.”

MIKEE COJUANGCO, 39, @mikeecj

On being in her 30s

“I guess the best part is that I know I’m exactly who I’m meant to be and where I’m meant to be in this point and time. If I’m in my 30s now, there’s a plan for me by God to be exactly where I am. The trick, I guess, is surrendering to that and accepting that and trying to be the best we can be where we are.”

On her biggest accomplishment so far

“My family, and having that and an amazing husband, which is not really my accomplishment but his [laughs]. Still, being able to be an individual, I think, is something that I’m proud of. Maybe more than proud, [I am] grateful for the support I have from the people around me.”

On her skin care ritual

“I just moisturize. I’m really lazy when it comes to things like that, which is why Olay is perfect because, for me, it’s an all-in-one.”

On what’s sexy about aging

“When we age, we’re supposed to become wiser, and I think wise people are very interesting and very sexy.”

Designer Milka Quin, @milka_quin

On dressing Mikee

“For the 30s group, I was thinking of a much easier silhouette, easy to wear. The silhouettes are not so tight fitting. The palette that I chose was white, black and cream so it’s easy on the eyes as well.”

On being in her 30s

“It’s being free. You have the individuality to be free, to dress whatever you want, not to conform with the fad.”

On her biggest accomplishment so far

“Being a mom of course! I [also] just started designing in my 30s. That was the best thing that I did when I switched careers. I was in a bank and [switched when] I studied fashion design at 30 or 31.”

MANDY DELA RAMA, 40, @mandyforfollow

On being in her 40s

“It’s a big deal. Age is nothing but a number, right? I’m proud of the number of experiences I’ve gone through. They define the kind of person that I am today. The best is yet to come, and I’m looking forward to that.”

On her biggest accomplishment so far

“Without a doubt, my daughter Solenn. Having her was my defining moment.”

On her skin care ritual

“I don’t really do much for my skin. That’s why I like Olay, because it’s a one-step process. Slap it on and it does everything. I’m not into a lot of bottles or a lot of different concoctions. I just want to slap it on my face when I sleep and when I wake up in the morning, I’m done.”

Designer Martin Bautista, @MartinBautista9

On dressing Mandy

“This is part of my S/S 2014 collection. I asked her to pick what she liked and she chose the green gown, strapless, very simple, very streamlined. She loved it and it looked great on her. I’m really happy with the result.”

On designing dresses for women

“I really admire those who are in control of their sexuality and style. I think Mandy is a good example of that. I think that’s really inspiring, and I’m really honored to have her as my muse.”

On his biggest accomplishment so far

“Being able to cater to these women. Just look at Mandy, a lot of people admire her. She has a great sense of style and she looks amazing.”

TRICIA CENTENERA, host for the evening, @TriciaCentenera

On women who are confident about aging

“At the end of the day, there is nothing more confident about a woman who embraces who they are and what they look like.”

On her skin care ritual

“Just clean your face at the end of the night. We all work hard and achieve all of our dreams. Go to bed. Sleep is the key.”

On the endorser she was a fan of

“Camille Co for me is such a gorgeous, young, inspiring girl. She does everything right. She wears such minimal makeup which is so nice to see for a girl in her 20s these days.”
