How a woman balances her time between her family, her career and herself

MANILA, Philippines – A woman’s journey is full of challenges and triumphs. It may look easy but it involves sacrifices to be able to manage what she is busy with. As a woman ages, she gains experience, lessons and milestones and this is what a woman can be proud of.
Age does not define a woman. In fact, being proud of her age means being proud of her journey to become the woman she is today. Working hard to achieve her goals, the challeneges she overcame, the mistakes learned and confronting all these with the right attitude is something to be proud of.
Being a mother is another story. Most women’s work doesn’t end when they leave office for home. At home, it’s usually time for the “second shift” – as a mom and a wife. When most women get off office duty they are automatically on family duty.
Does it have to be difficult? Does striving to have the best of both worlds have to come at such a steep price? How is it that some make it look so easy? What are their secrets?
It’s important to bring these questions up. For there are indeed women out there who seem to have mastered the art of balancing both (or more) aspects of their lives. These miracle workers are who we aspire to be.
Mikee Cojuangco and Mandy dela Rama are two good examples of what it takes to be a superwoman. Both are mothers who have thriving careers and are able to balance their family, career and their time giving back to society. They are also women who put value in taking care of themselves to be at their very best in whatever endeavor they pursue.
