Filipina is Miss Scuba International 1st runnerup
MANILA, Philippines – Christine Bernasor is Miss Scuba International 2013's first runner-up, coming in second to winner Jaime Lee Faulkner of the United Kingdom. The Unites States' Chanel Hason was 2nd runner-up.
The pageant was held at the Sutera Harbor Country Club in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.

- Miss Best Diver - Chanel Hason (USA)
- Miss Photogenic - Ayaka Fukuma (Japan)

The Miss Scuba International pageant started in 2011, founded by businessman Robert Lo . He is the owner of the Sipadan Mabul Resort (SMART) and Mabul Water Bungalows.
Lo is also a strong believer in sustainable development within the realms of our marine environment, hoping that by sharing the beauty and wonders of the underwater world with the help of beauty queens, it will help people understand how fragile our oceans are and how they can help protect it.
According to the pageant's official website, the pageant's winner "will undertake a year of ocean conservation campaigns to educate and inspire the desire in all of us to do our best to safeguard our oceans."
The pageant also aims "to promote safe diving practices through worldwide professional training organizations, and elevate international tourism and cultural appreciation." – Rappler.com
