MANILA, Philippines - The date is set: the 67th Tony Awards will be held on June 9 (June 10 MNL) at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
The awards event hailed as "the Oscars of theater" honors the best theatrical performances and productions in Broadway. It is presented annually by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
According to BroadwayWorld.com, cut-off date for eligibility of all Broadway productions that opened in the 2012 to 2013 season is on April 25. Productions which meet all requirements and are open on or before the date are eligible for 2013 Tony Award nominations.
Nominations will be released live on April 30 from New York City.
For those hoping to be in New York for the Tony Awards, a limited number of tickets for the general public will be available starting April 30 at the Tony Awards website.
The Tony Awards have honored Filipinos for their contributions to Broadway.
