Kendall and Kylie Jenner release first book ‘Rebels: City of Indra’
The younger Kardashians can now cross 'author' off their to-do list – but how will the public receive their new book?

MANILA, Philippines – The youngest heirs to the Kardashian dynasty, self-appointed “worst reader” Kendall Jenner and younger sister Kylie Jenner, have authored a book, which is co-authored as well by two ghost authors.

The book, released June 3, 2014, is called Rebels: City of Indra.  The story is reportedly set in a dystopic shell of Earth and tells the story of star-crossed twins Lex and Livia. The book, 342 pages long, carries futuristic undertones, with elements such as a high council, the self-sustaining biosphere “Indra,” and government-marshaled birth control.

News of the release of the Jenner sisters’ first book reached media ears when sisters Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian posted a photo of Rebels on Instagram. Both the older Kardashians gushed about the book and said how proud they were of the neophyte authors.

“I’m so proud if my sisters!!! Congrats my babies on your book #REBELSthebook. #Proud #Sister #Rebels,” wrote Khloe on Instagram.

Khloe also posted a different photo of the girls on Instagram, cheering them on.

Kendall and Kylie Jenner started off by starring as themselves in reality television show Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The two sisters also have an eponymous collection for clothing brand Pacsun called “Kendall & Kylie” that recently just released its Spring 2014 line.

Kendall, the older of the two, is also an up-and=coming model, as touted numerous times by Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Kendall stunned audiences as she walked the Marc Jacobs show at New York Fashion Week, the Giles show at London Fashion Week, and the Givenchy and Chanel shows at Paris Fashion Week.

However, Amazon.com customers rate Rebels two stars out of five. The popular book-reviewing site Goodreads.com is only slightly more generous by rating the new book 2.47 stars out five.

Whatever the fate of the book, the accomplished pair can now cross off “author” on their to-do list. – Rappler.com
