MANILA, Philippines – BTS, Parasite, Squid Game – these are just a few of the ways Korean pop culture has infiltrated the US and the rest of the West.

At first, you’d think this can only be a good thing – more Asian representation! But some fans also fear that K-culture might be pandering too much to Hollywood and mainstream western tastes.
