MAKATI CITY, Philippines - Fashion's who's who converged at Greenbelt 5's Fashion Walk last Friday, April 19, for the first of Ayala Malls' 3-month series of lifestyle events that feature the fusion of modern design, fashion, music, and style.
Eventologist Tim Yap and model Borgy Manotoc hosted the official opening of Style Origins 2012, a three-part fashion show that was followed by cocktails at Greenbelt 5's Filipino zone.
MEN'S WEAR HIGHLIGHTED. Style Origins' opening show placed men's wear by Filipino designers on the forefront.
The night's theme was Men's Week, where 21 men's wear designers were given the chance to take the front seat. It was the highlight of a 45-minute show that also featured Greenbelt 4's luxury brands and Greenbelt 5's Filipino designers.
Among the brands and designers who took part in the show were Charina Sarte, Bonne Bouche, Aranaz, L Manila, Religioso, Myth, Gaupo, Azucar, Jun Escario, Ana Rocha, Jewelmer, Arnel Papa, Furla, Tod's, Marc Jacobs, Salvatorre Ferragamo, Bottega Venetta, Charriol, and Gucci.

Designers who showcased their take on menswear were Sassa Jimenez, Joey Samson, Randy Ortiz, Jerome Lorico, Kermit Tesoro, Gian Romano, Nixon Marquez, M Barretto, Norman Noriega, Bang Pineda, Regine Dulay, James Reyes, Rhett Eala, Ivarluski Aseron, Jojie Lloren, Michael Cinco, Jerome Ang, Noel Crisostomo, Yvonne Quisumbing, Arcy Gayatin, and Cary Santiago.
