IN PHOTOS: Yellow Cab’s 5 new craft pizzas, chicken dish

MANILA, Philippines – A good pizza doesn’t have to be complicated – a simple one made from lovely fresh ingredients can be very flavorful and satisfying, indeed.

That said, many restaurants have taken to experimenting with pizza flavors and adding a variety of ingredients to the simple pie.

Philippine chain Yellow Cab has added a number of craft pizzas to their lineup. The 10-inch pies are good for sharing between 2 to 3 people making it a little easier on the the wallet. 

Let’s take a look at the new flavors introduced at a media event Thursday, October 8:

4 Cheese & Tomatoes, P250

This pizza has a combination of 4 different types of cheese namely, the mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan and feta. It is also presented with fresh sliced tomatoes that gives the pizza a richer flavor.

Smoked Salmon with Dill, P270

This pizza is served with smoked salmon and boursin cheese. It is also topped with mozzarella, cheddar, and parmesan cheese with fresh dill. 

Jalapeno & Pepperoni, P260

This is for the meat lovers out there. Served with slices of jalapeño, pepperoni, mozzarella and parmesan cheese, there’s a mix of creaminess, saltiness, and spiciness. It may be overwhelming for some palates, but might also be a good pick when you’re hankering for something different.

Chelsea’s Artichoke Pizza, P270

Topped with artichoke hearts marinated with vodka, this pizza also includes crushed and diced tomatoes, mozzarella, parmesan, ricotta, and fresh basil. 

Prosciutto Ham with Boursin Cheese, P270

Prosciutto ham with boursin, parmesan, and cheese, combined with caramelized onions for a sweeter taste, and with fresh sliced tomatoes 

At the event, Yellow Cab also presented their new chicken dish:

Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Maybe this can be a nice add-on to the pizza orders, or else something for diners who want something else when out with friends. Of course, the focus on Yellow Cab will be on the pies, but this joins the pasta and other sides as pizza alternatives.
